Bite-size tech: Williams’ rear suspension nodule
Whilst the nodule on the FW38’s rear suspension is not new, it is worth further study.
The suspension elements on all of the challengers are faired, in order to improve their aerodynamic footprint.
In the case of Williams, we can see that it has created a small nodule on the upper rear wishbone (highlighted in green) in order to shape airflow in conjunction with other components.
